Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Responsible for the control of all related Materials coming into and out of facility. Works with Planning/Purchasing Manager to establish job priorities of Material Control to meet job completion deadlines. Interfaces with Purchasing, Receiving, Planning, Engineering, Production, Test and Quality Assurance in establishing property control and material handling techniques to track, control and protect property as well purchased material.
Supports Company objectives by maintaining accurate records. Works closely with the Materials Manager in establishing material handling guidelines, improve processes and control of property. only. They do not necessarily reflect all duties and responsibilities of a position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Handle all aspects of shipping and receiving department functions. Prepares periodic reports including, monthly reports, Asset Tracking reports and Shipment tracking. Supports production and engineering for extended hours on an on-call basis. Functions as the Material Control Clerk when needed. Works closely with all departments to improve material handling techniques, increase efficiency, guide process improvement and resolve discrepancies.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: As determined, Improve packaging techniques and improve overall efficiency.
HS Degree or equivalent; previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, bar code tracking, problem solving, documentation, traceability and other aspects of material handling in high reliability product lines.
80% of work is accomplished in production setting.
20% of work is accomplished in office setting.
Will be required to lift packages of up to 50 pounds
Shift: 7 a.m. to 3:30pm, Pay: $12-$15/hr depending on experience
