Bronze Level Lean Certification Program
The
SME/AME/Shingo Lean Certification assesses the Lean knowledge, skills
& abilities of Lean practitioners. Companies can ensure employees
have the capabilities needed to execute continuous improvement efforts
and individuals can document their knowledge and skills to show they're
ready for new roles and responsibilities.
The Lean Certification program, created and sponsored by three leaders
in the manufacturing industry, Shingo, AME and SME, outlines a standard
direction for individuals and companies to drive their improvement efforts.
This program utilizes unbiased, third party evaluation of Lean knowledge
and abilities, and rewards development in Lean with an important industry-recognized
credential. There are three levels of certification of which the Bronze
level is the first attained. Certification is achieved by passing an examination
and meeting experience and education requirements.
CAMT partners with the Colorado chapters of the Society of Manufacturing
Engineers (SME) and the Association for Manufacturing
Excellence (AME) to bring the Bronze Level Lean Certification
to Colorado manufacturers. A Lean Training Series listed below provides
credits to meet education requirements of the certification and past graduates
from the Bronze Level Lean Certification Exam Review course have boasted
a 100% pass rate of the exam.
Register for an orientation session
and you'll receive:
-An introduction to the value of Lean techniques
-Overview of the Lean Certification & its requirements
-Details of the Lean Training Series
-How to prepare for the Lean Certification Exam

Masaaki
Imai has been in Colorado the last two years giving his basic presentation
on the what and how of the KAIZEN/Lean process. He is back in 2008 to
take the next steps through utilization of case studies on the lean journey
to world class. This is an advanced presentation to his previous appearances

AME
Lean and Green Summit
DATE: July 17 & 18, 2008
LOCATION: St. Julien Hotel & Spa, Boulder, CO
Your company is considering or already using Lean in operations to decrease
waste. Now is the time to focus your Lean efforts more specifically on
environmental concerns. Lean can be applied to reduce energy, waste water,
scrap and other resources and byproducts from your manufacturing processes.
With this as the foundation, the Lean and Green Summit will address the
larger issues of sustainability.
CAMT is pleased to sponsor and assist with the Lean and Green Summit being
held July 17 & 18 in Boulder. At this national Summit, you will learn
from sustainability pioneers in manufacturing how to:
-Measure product life cycles for sustainability
-Cut energy consumption by 1/3
-Significantly decrease virgin material used in production
-Nearly eliminate toxic releases, both in manufacturing processes and
in end-of-life- products
This Summit will uniquely bring together the passions of two committed
groups:
-Advocates of operational excellence who see the implications lean principles
have in sustainability
-Environmental advocates wanting to move industry toward sustainability
Far
from a traditional conference, the Lean and Green Summit will be highly
participatory, before, during, and after. The Summit is not as much about
educating as it is about problem solving. Think solutions, not theory.
Think action, not talk.
Two outcomes are expected to come from the Summit:
-The collective group will create a new body of knowledge in addressing
issues of sustainability.
-Participants will leave with an actionable plan for moving their companies
along the road to sustainability.
